![]() We are all hard wired these days to the electronic world around us. We are unconscious to the conscious fact that we are letting outside influences determine our likes, dislikes, wants, needs and desires. Because of this electronic connection, we have become detached from our own inner voice, our intuition. We have lost the Divine energy that truly guides our human connection and have replaced it with an electronic connection. We can't just give it up, it's a part of our life. We rely on the electronic connection for almost very aspect of life. Our work depends on it, getting from one place to another depends on it, even paying for our food depends on it. But we truly have to disconnect now and then. By unplugging from this electronic world we can truly allow our mind, body and spirit to reconnect with our inner voice. By disconnecting from every device, computer, and television we can settle our minds and truly listen to ourselves. We can reconnect with our destined path and find inner peace and comfort in knowing we are stronger being in touch with ourselves than we are listening to what that electronic world tells us we should be. The best way to disconnect is to truly find a place and time to let go. While I say do it daily, even just a few times a week is great. There are no rules or procedures to follow, just do what feels right. But you have to be free from the electronic world, tuned out, turned off, and unplugged. Then take a few deep cleansing breaths, give your mind something meaningless to focus on, like your breath, or a sound around you, or an object like a candle flame or a tree swaying in the wind. Then as your mind settles and you breath deeply just let go. Whatever you do, whether it's sitting by the sea or a lake; sitting by the pool or in your favorite room; allow yourself to truly be free. If you give yourself one gift this season, give yourself some time to disconnect and reconnect with your soul. Learning to meditate can be challenging for some and that is something I teach very well. But allowing yourself the time to escape is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Just let it go!
