A Mindful Approach To Health and Wellness
I offer a conscientious mindful-body approach to health, fitness, recovery, and personal growth through the use of holistic fitness protocols that support the therapeutic process of recovery and health. Personal growth occurs when we use the wisdom of the mind to enhance our health, psyche and nourish the spirit. By learning techniques such as mindful eating, thoughtful focused exercise, relaxation therapy and honoring what our body needs instead of what we crave, we can achieve long term weight loss and health benefits

Being healthy is not just being free of disease, but instead, embracing the vitality, strength, serenity, peace and joy that comes with all your mind, body and spirit have to offer. It doesn't matter if you’re a novice, a beginner, an advanced athlete, or an overweight sedentary coach potato – we all want to experience a pure and joy filled life.
Many people jump into a fitness and weight loss programs without considering the whole Self. Our minds, often times, are our own worst enemies. We place limits on our potential by repeatedly telling ourselves we can’t or we’re not good enough. We need to learn how to quiet our minds, reduce the chatter and be present to what is – and then we can move forward. My approach turns the mind in to your greatest resource.
I work with my clients and coach them to greatness. Together we find peace, balance, motivation, and the power within to succeed. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Transformational Psychologist, Mindfulness Coach, Nutrition Coach, Group Fitness Specialist and Senior Fitness Expert.
What to Expect with a Session:
We will generally have a first consultation where we will meet and discuss where you are, what your goals are, any road blocks or barriers that you may be thinking about and map out a path to success. We will discuss the options available and your likes and dislikes. I will provide you with as much information as possible on how hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques will open your mind to accept the changes we are about to undertake; develop the best plan you can imagine and formulate our vision for you health and wellness.
After our session I will design a specialized program that will include a fitness regimen but may also include meditation, relaxation methods, deep breathing, stress management, stretching and nutrition guidelines. As we progress, emphasis will be on the mind body connection. Many times just stopping and focusing on breathing and making sure we are in the present and not wandering off in to the stresses we face daily.

Focus on Nutrition
Proper Nutrition is the basis for optimum health and well being. Holistic nutrition and mindful eating are the modern natural approaches to developing a healthy balanced plan that takes into account the person as a whole. Holistic nutrition is considered to be one of the most important parts of holistic health.
Food not only provides the energy needed to function in our daily lives but constantly supplies the nutrients which are required to build and regenerate body tissue, bone, muscle, fat and blood. The problem most of us face today is we are faced with so many choices, most of which are terrible for our bodies. Processed, high salt, high sugar foods have shown in study after study to be the root causes of everything from most cancers, cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer's, obesity, and diabetes. My program coaches you through these choices to show you that food is truly the medicine that our body needs.

How Much Should I Weigh?
What is truly realistic in your weight? How do you build your self-esteem and overcome the "model mentality" we face every day? Learn the good, bad and ugly and really go in to the kitchen or a restaurant knowing how the food you eat affects your life. The dieting lifestyle has made us all look at food as the enemy. It isn't that at all. We punish ourselves for our cravings; avoid the foods we crave with a passion; then after we can't take it anymore, we binge on what we craved until we can't eat anymore, undoing all of those weeks of sacrifice and hunger. That's the yo-yo world of dieting...IT DOESN'T WORK!!!
My programs lead you to a place of becoming an intuitive eater. I teach you how to really look at food as the amazing thing it is, embrace it and love it. Get rid of the food police who are in your head telling you this food is bad, don't eat that, etc. I can lead you to a place that truly releases you from this burden. Food is a huge part of life and you truly should be able to enjoy it. Food in not the enemy, food is life, food is health!
