Hypnosis uses a trance state that is natural. It is a state we all experience many times a day (such as daydreams). Hypnosis simply involves going into a relaxed, yet focused, state of awareness. By combining the power of hypnosis, relaxation, holistic healing, and mindfulness it can be profoundly enlightening. I have extensive training in Hypnotherapy and in conjunction with my study of Mindfulness and Holistic Healing you are in excellent hands.

I work with my clients to discover who they truly are by clarifying what they desire most. We expand the awareness of thought, actions, and feelings and align those with your desires and passions. We work to develop strategies and plans to achieve goals, reach new levels of awareness, and get in touch with deep needs and wants.
To begin, we start with a free phone consultation and then work out our plan to move forward. Sessions generally last about an hour (regression sessions are 90 minutes) but may run a little longer in some cases.
During a session you always have control, you are always safe, secure, and have the ability to come out of the trance at any time, if you feel you need to. The progressive session totally relaxes the body, then the mind and opens the subconscious to accept real change and true authentic focus on improving your life.

What is hypnosis like?
Hypnosis is just like being cozy and dreamy in bed when you have just woken in the morning. There is an awareness of surroundings, but a willingness to drift with the images that appear like dreams. It is an enjoyable state of deep relaxation in which the subconscious mind is ready to accept suggestions that bring about desired changes.
Am I unconscious during hypnosis?
No, you will be aware of everything that's happening; but you will be in a deeply relaxed state. Most people find the experience very pleasant and comfortable and say they would have liked to have stayed there longer.
Can you make me tell you anything under hypnosis?
No, I can't. You are always in control. If you don't want to say anything then I can't make you. A hypnotherapist cannot make you say or do anything that you wouldn't normally be willing to say or do.
Can you make me do anything you want, like act like a chicken or a dog?
This kind of thing is reserved for entertainers and extroverts who like to show off and play pretend games. It has no place in serious clinical hypnotherapy. Hypnosis can reduce inhibitions, but I can't make you do anything you wouldn't normally be willing to do. It reduces barriers and allows you to go in a direction you may be intimidated to go otherwise, but you are always in control.
How long is a session?
Sessions last for approximately 50 minutes to 70 minutes.
How confidential is our session?
I aim to provide a safe, comfortable, and confidential service for clients. No information is ever shared unless approved by you in advance and in writing. All sessions will be private and confidential. Confidentiality is maintained within the ethical and practice guidelines of the hypnotherapy society.
Can it do me any harm?
Hypnosis is as safe as falling asleep. Hypnosis is deep relaxation with suggestion and guidance from the hypnotherapist as to where your subconscious mind needs to focus. There is nothing harmful in relaxation. Many people have received great benefit from the experience.
How many sessions will it take?
You will know as the sessions progress. It depends on the goals and the person. Typically you would want at least two or three, but for weight issues, smoking etc., it could be more. A Hypnotherapist can never really tell you the exact number of sessions at first. Only you will know the answer. It also depends on how many things you want to work on. Whether it’s building up self-confidence, losing weight, stopping smoking, getting past fears and phobias, or easing depression and anxiety, or whatever the goals may be.
It is choosing to make the commitment and taking the right steps for the change you desire to occur. We will know when we have reached your goals and I will never push you to continue sessions after we have achieved the desired outcome.
